  • Intelligent Multi-Stage Charging: The charger automatically adjusts between recovery, boost, and float stages based on battery condition. This ensures fast restoration when the battery is low, balanced charging during boost, and long-term maintenance during float mode — all while preventing overcharge or heat buildup.
  • High-Efficiency Switch Mode Technology: Designed to minimize power loss and heat generation, the switch mode design increases energy efficiency and improves reliability. This allows stable operation even when AC supply fluctuates.
  • Low Ripple DC Output: With less than 1% voltage ripple, the Sentinel 150P Series protects sensitive electronics, making it suitable for AGM, gel, vented lead-acid, and NiCd batteries. The ultra-smooth output also makes it usable as a standalone low-noise DC power supply.
  • AutoBoost Equalization: When the battery voltage drops below the defined threshold, AutoBoost automatically initiates a controlled equalization cycle. This helps correct cell imbalance, restores charge efficiency, and supports longer battery lifespan.
  • Programmable Alarm & Control Options: A-option models feature a configurable alarm relay and control input. These can be programmed for several fault indicators such as mains failure, battery missing, high/low battery voltage, temperature sensor fault, and charge failure.
  • Temperature-Compensated Charging: When paired with a remote temperature sensor, the charger precisely adjusts output voltage to match ambient conditions. This enhances charging accuracy in hot or cold environments.
  • OEM Customizable Profiles: Using the PC configuration suite, installers can fine-tune output voltage, charging stages, battery type, alarm behavior, and more. This allows optimization for specialized applications or custom battery banks.
  • Lightweight Panel-Mount Construction: The compact frame and aluminum protective cover allow easy installation inside control panels, engine rooms, generator cabinets, or equipment housings where space is limited.
  • Standby Power Systems: Ideal for UPS systems, fire pump controllers, emergency panels, and backup power units that need a continuous float charge to stay ready at all times.
  • Marine & Offshore Equipment: Suitable for engine starting batteries, navigation systems, control panels, and onboard auxiliary power units that require reliable battery maintenance in harsh environments.
  • Industrial Machinery & Control Panels: Works well with PLC cabinets, motor control centers, pump panels, and instrumentation systems where stable DC power is essential.
  • Generator Sets: Used for charging start batteries of diesel and gas generator sets, ensuring quick cranking even after long periods of inactivity.
  • Remote & Unattended Installations: Supports telecom sites, remote monitoring stations, and outdoor enclosures where maintenance is minimal and battery reliability is crucial.
  • Battery Banks with Multiple Chemistries: Compatible with AGM, gel, vented lead-acid, antimony lead-acid, Calcium-Calcium, and NiCd batteries, offering flexibility for diverse charging needs.
  • Low-Noise DC Power Applications: Thanks to its smooth output, the charger can also be used as a clean DC power source for systems requiring minimal electrical noise.

Compact and reliable battery charger designed for standby and engine applications, offering efficient multi-stage charging, low ripple output, and flexible configuration for various battery types.

How the SENTINEL 150P SERIES Works

The Sentinel 150P Series uses an advanced switch-mode power design that converts AC input into a stable, low-ripple DC output. Once connected, the charger automatically evaluates battery condition and begins in recovery mode, supplying controlled maximum current until the battery voltage reaches the boost threshold.

During the boost stage, the charger increases voltage to accelerate charge acceptance while maintaining temperature and cell protection. When the battery approaches full capacity, the system shifts into float mode, delivering just enough current to keep the battery healthy without overcharging.

The charger also includes AutoBoost, which periodically checks battery voltage and activates a controlled equalization cycle when needed. This helps maintain balanced cells, reduces sulfation, and supports longer battery service life — especially in standby or infrequently used systems.

A-option models add programmable alarms and digital control input, allowing integration with control panels, monitoring systems, or operator switches for enhanced charge management.

The charger supports multiple battery chemistries including vented lead acid, AGM, gel, Calcium-Calcium, and NiCd. Output profiles can be fine-tuned through the configuration software.

Yes. Because the charger provides a very low-ripple DC output, it can function as a clean power source for equipment requiring stable voltage.

AutoBoost temporarily increases output voltage when the battery voltage falls below a preset level. This equalizes cells, helps reduce long-term degradation, and restores optimal performance.

The charger operates normally without it, but using the optional temperature sensor adds automatic compensation for hot or cold environments, improving charging accuracy and battery lifespan.

The Sentinel 150P includes protection against short circuits, reverse polarity, high load conditions, and output overcurrent. A-models also include programmable alarms for additional monitoring.

No. The charger works with default settings out of the box. The PC suite is only needed if you want custom profile adjustments or live monitoring.
